Talysis on track to achieve ambitious growth targets

Talysis Ltd is celebrating another record-breaking twelve months, with turnover increasing by 30% during the year ended 30 June 2022. The period covers the second year of an ambitious growth programme, which aims to see Talysis grow four-fold by summer 2023.

Over the past year, Talysis has strengthened links with existing customers, launched several new solutions and welcomed a raft of new business, whilst continuing to invest in its systems and its people.

The company achieved 100% customer retention once more, as well as attracting new clients such as Red Bull via its Convenience Insight Partnership (CIP) with Acosta. Further growth was realised through existing clients, including the addition of around forty suppliers to the MFG data portal, to the benefit of all parties.

Talysis continues to develop innovative solutions for its principal markets within the grocery wholesale & convenience sector. Over the last twelve months, two major new services have been unveiled, whilst existing solutions have also been enhanced. PlanScan, a secure online portal that allows store staff to download real-time planograms on any device, is helping to drive efficiencies and store standards for retailers. And the launch of PriceCube, initially in Ireland and more recently in the UK, provides wholesalers, retailers and suppliers with a clear understanding of pricing and promotional activity across the market, with a frequency that allows swift reactions to threats or opportunities.

As the business continues to scale up towards its bold ambitions next year, further investment has been made in infrastructure, via the upgrade of systems, migration to the cloud and a number of key appointments.

Following the appointment in April of Commercial Director, Luke Harris, a new commercial function is being set up, aimed at delivering the best results for clients. Talysis has also recently confirmed Jill Morris as Head of Marketing, after a successful consultancy period. Morris has held senior roles across the convenience sector within marketing and PR functions, including Tesco’s One Stop franchise, Costcutter Supermarkets and Nisa, as well as leading communications for Interflora. The company has also strengthened each of its existing teams, including taking on its first apprentice, who now regularly features within the Top 10 apprentices in the UK.

Ed Roberts, Founder & Managing Director of Talysis, said:
“I’m delighted that our vision is helping to attract both established and new talent from across the industry; the two senior appointments we’ve made this year signal our intent to become the data & analytics company of choice. Our mission of ‘Making Life Easier’ is driven by continuous innovation and our knowledge of the wholesale, retail & FMCG sectors. We understand our clients’ businesses, their challenges and their objectives. The recent launch of PriceCube is a perfect example of how we can help and we’re seeing wholesalers, symbol groups and FMCG brands clamouring to sign up. I’m confident that we’ll achieve next year’s challenging targets, as we continue to develop our existing relationships, enter into partnerships that will extend our geographical reach and take our solutions to new markets and channels.”
